About Travis Farrell
Travis Farrell is a commercial photographer, director, and cinematographer based in San Luis Obispo, California, with over 20 years of experience working in Los Angeles and New York. He specializes in technology, business, editorial, and documentary storytelling, as well as fashion, product, and automotive photography. His work combines big-city production value with a collaborative, approachable style that clients trust.
Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Travis began his creative path shooting skate videos before attending the New York Film Academy in Florence, Italy. After returning to New York and completing an internship at Pier59 Studios, he launched his professional career photographing musicians and celebrities for MTV in Times Square, quickly becoming one of the youngest freelancers at WireImage NY.
In 2010, Travis joined the digital team at Milk Studios Los Angeles, collaborating with world-class photographers including Michel Comte, Ben Watts, Mark Seliger, Ryan McGinley, Alexi Lubomirski, Platon, and Tom Munro. He contributed to hundreds of campaigns across fashion, beauty, automotive, and advertising, while refining his own storytelling aesthetic. His early work with Guess Jeans marked the start of a long career in branded content.
Now based on California’s Central Coast, Travis partners with tech companies, global brands, startups, and creative agencies to produce campaigns that blend cinematic storytelling with strategic communication. He leads productions from concept and pre-production through final delivery, bringing a mix of technical expertise, narrative instinct, and positivity to every project. With the support of his wife and two children, he continues to push creative boundaries while keeping his process grounded and collaborative.
